I really like the first image, it's really original. The way you used the reflection is really creative. I also like the second to last one the shadows look really nice on his face and the wall.
the self portrait and the 5th photo are my favorites. i love the broken mirror motif, it could have a whole world of meaning. i like the 5th one because of the shadow, i think the composition in that one is awesome.
The first one and the second to last one are my favorites. I love the mirrors. That was an awesome idea. The clarity in the last one is awesome, and I enjoy the lighting. Maybe try a different lighting with the third one, so there can be more contrast? Nice job though :)
I like the first one the most, it makes interesting composition and I like the contrast too. The second one's got interesting composition which would have been more "awesomer" if was done sharper (it looks kinda bit out of focus when enlarged?)
The first one: Great Idea with the mirrors...I think its cool because it reveals bits and pieces.
I like the last two because I think the tones are great. Maybe play around with the burn tool a lil on the last one but I think the shadows really make for a great photograph.
first one is a keeper FOR SURE. it works on many levels visually and conceptually. the others all have great potential. you might watch your focus because they seem to be a bit soft. i would pick the second if there was a part that was crisp. could you reshoot? the third is also a keeper, but i think his hair is in focus and i wish his eye was a bit sharper. if you can't reshoot, that is a good one too. i do like the composition/cropping of the fourth and fifth. that's funny that the backlit one has lighting on his back:)
I like how in all of your portraits you cannot look at the person directly - either they are looking away from the camera, you are looking at their body or something is obscuring your view of them. I think of all of them, the first and the fifth images are the strongest - the first for it's interestingness of having our view blocked a bit, and the fifth for the figure off to the side of the frame and seeing their shadow.
I love the first and second one the most. The mirror one is so unique and mysteriously pleasing. The body one is beautiful, I love the sentiment that comes with the picture. I really love the shadows on the fifth one!
the first self portrait is very very creative! the composition is interesting.

ReplyDeleteThe second one is my favorite. The light curves of the body against the black background make the subject really stand out!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite by far is your self portrait. it turned out amazing!
ReplyDeleteI think you did great at experimenting with lighting in these photos.
1. This concept is freakin awesome…I might steal the idea for a later photo
ReplyDelete2. Ot took me a second to realize what was in focus…I like the tension that creates
3. Good job!
4. I wish the subject wasn't moving :(
5. Tone down the highlights a tad perhaps?
6. See 5
